Pure Intentions is a feature documentary that follows Peter Oliver, successful Canadian restaurateur as he travels home to South Africa on behalf of The Stephen Leacock Foundation, an organization he founded. While visiting the schools he helped build and continues to support, Oliver discovers that a post-apartheid hangover in South Africa persists. A controversial, emotional and strikingly beautiful film, Pure Intentions is the story of a man who seeks to right the wrongs of his home country’s past by helping its future. In the process, his journey takes an unexpected and personal twist. Recipient of Rogers Doc Fund and Rogers Cable Fund financing.

(2006- Sundance Channel, 80’ and 52’) feature documentary for Sundance Channel, tackles the subject of the assault of big box corporate America on independent business, through the eyes of Emmy Award winning former NBC foreign correspondent Hanson Hosein and his journalist wife Heather Hughes.
